Portable Screen #1 is a piece inspired by thoughts immigration, migration and forced migration, and the objects and heirlooms that can or cannot make those journeys. The screen is made of humble materials and folds conveniently for portability. The image printed onto the cotton fabric is the Pacific Ocean in southern California.
